Thanks for the response. Basically restarting the distro while the card was plugged in and connected before restart always seems to work for me. Penguin , 11 Jul Works great for shop wifi computer. I m thinking get one of these alfas for my house balcony setup.

Initially I rated the AWUSNHR One-Star because it would drop the network connection every minute or so, signal strengths would vary wildly, and connection speeds would dip to a crawl.
